Hello i have 2 Citibank Dividend Platinum Select card one another since 1990 since 1992 for the best of my knowledge, they are both the same card was that of 1992, AT & T, who told me not map would be more surplus there is now an interest rate of 14.99 card has an interest rate of 17.99 my question is whether the same type of cards why would you a higher rate card is has a line of credit 32,900 two cards has a credit line I received 28,700 credit card has increased 4 times in 2008, Card cons only 3 times a card two, I never in 18 + years was always late on total payments I have both map 14688 I want to ask why a Citibank card has a rate of 14.99 to 17.99 and the other I'm not great with banking terms and do not want to rock the boat and mess about how I wonder why a card has a rate of 14.99 and 17.99 others please note both the cards for the last 6 years were 10, 99%, it was recently I had some of these increases would please help me in formulating the right to ask just as I really need help thank you all Kevin.

the interest rate on a credit card is determined when it is issued and may be adjusted upward or downward depending on prevailing rates and changes in your credit situation. interest rate (APR not ARP) is not determined by the type of card.
