1997 Toyota Corolla have 13.2 gallons tanks. If you were really making 35 miles per gallon, you should be able to go 450 miles on a tank of gas. I often wonder how many claims of improved fuel economy are in fact failed to do arithmetic. Many German cars with trip computers provide figures that are not consistent with the odometer readings and receipts of fuel.

I drive a '97 Corolla Totota and is 35 miles per gallon. Averages 300 miles a tank of gas.
