Compare Credit Card Offers

Posted on March 4, 2010.
Compare Credit Card OffersI have excellent credit and want a balance transfer. How and where do I compare credit card offers?

It is confusing to settle what the fine print really means and what is really the best deal. I'm hoping to avoid balance transfer fees or at least minimize them. What a great way to research and compare those with better credit offers for people with good or excellent?

Since you have excellent credit, you may be able to obtain a very low or zero percent interest rate on launch a credit card balance transfer. Before completing your application for new credit card, make sure you can afford the standard APR of the card. This will be your rate once the introductory offer expires. You should compare credit cards based on other factors such as annual fees and reward programs and may do so by visiting www.CardHub.com.

Hi Judith

Here are some things you should consider:

1. Most (if not all) credit card companies offering 0% interest on balance transfers will charge you a fee of 3% balance transfer.

2. Be aware that the amount of your minimum monthly payment will likely increase if the balance transfer is more than 90% of the credit limit on your new card. Consequently, your minimum monthly payment could increase by 2% to 4% of your outstanding balance.

3. Most of zero percent interest offer only lasts 6 to 12 months.

4. If your credit is good, consider a credit card offer low interest rates (eg 1% to 3% rather than 0%), but without balance transfer fees. And if you plan to pay the balance quickly, it's really the best way forward.

Best Of Luck Judith

good luck with that - credit card companies have increased fees and rates int and lowering credit limits - there are opportunities - any new card you get, will have no credit limit sufficient to make a complete transfer and you can forget about zero% or NO transfer fees - more, closing at an old card and get another adversely affect your credit score
