Corporate Business Credit Card

Posted on February 11, 2010.
Corporate Business Credit CardThe bank may withdraw money from personal chequing account to a credit card company?

The company went bankrupt and the credit card company has not been paid for 3 months. The bank pulled the money from my personal checking account without notifying me. Can they do that?

If you have consented to the terms and conditions of the credit card company, they can.

You should read the terms and conditions of your card company. At the end of the day, you should seek specialist legal advice if you have any concerns.

For smaller companies you will almost certainly be a guarantor for the credit card. So yes, they can do. Note that this would take some time (60 days + delay) before they are likely to take such action. St George bank would be the exception, they used to raid the accounts of people at the first possible opportunity.

If it was a company card to your employer, then it is unlikely unless you've signed a guarantor.

www.BusinessCreditKey.com - worked well for me and showed me how to build business credit without using personal credit

If you have agreed to be a personal guarantor of the credit card company, they can do.
