Credit Card Consolidation Services

I just finished grad school with a significant amount of credit card debt (about $ 8,000) divided between three cards. They were student cards when I opened them, so interest rates are terribly high. My three banks currently can not lower my interest rate, even though I graduated and got a good job making a decent salary.

I am not crazy and I want to make these cards as quickly as possible to the lowest rate possible. I am interested in learning more about services credit card consolidation.

Mostly, I want to know how using one would affect my credit score. My score is OK (700S below) and I do not want to affect as I hope to buy a house in the next 2-3 years.

Does anyone know the effect of consolidation of debt and does anyone have recommendations for reputable services?

I would look online for a local office in your area.
They charge nothing for the majority - 25 per month for certain - no more than that.
