Credit Cards For People With Bad HistoryI need info on mortgages and credit cards for people with bad credit history?

Why not stay away from two until you rebuild your credit ...

Thank you for voting! Can I suggest a site that can help you in the future ... http://www.thecreditrepairmanu Flag

You are really asking a question in two parts. First, deal with credit cards. HSBC has an online credit card called Orchard Bank which is really great for people with bad credit. You can view them online. You will probably be approved, but have a low credit limit (maybe 250-500 depending on your history). Pay the card off each month and your score should improve. Each month, you can call them and ask for an increased appropriation. Capital One also has features for people with bad credit, but I think you will find a bank HSBC welcomes your business.

As for loans, it really depends on what kind of loan you are trying to achieve. You can try to Countrywide and Lending Tree for a mortgage. If you are looking for a car loan, maybe HSBC can help you if you are unable to obtain a loan at the dealership. If a car loan that you are after and the dealer can not help you, try another broker or two and, at worst, to visit a "buy here, pay here" lot.

If you own a home, you should be able to get some credit, even if the terms can be far from ideal. Try Lowe's or Home Depot. In general they offer credit to people with lower scores, especially if you own your home. Your mortgage lender may be able to offer a line of home equity or other form of financing that is linked to the equity in your home.

In general, the best thing you can do when you have bad credit is a work of rebuilding your credit and find a lender who is willing to work with and grow with you. I suggest HSBC (Household Bank), if you're not a good relationship with a lender / provider of credit card.

Good luck.
