Credit Cards For Those With No Credit

I am 23 with no credit. Every place I fell i applied for their cards and I wanted to know how it works and how can I get one. This random lady told me that you must wait 8 months to ask again if you refused.

What is not?

OH YEAH! Do not say anything like "Go home to your roommate Steve and take his." Or "You can always take with your mom or dad when they do not seek"
