For some reason, the Ducane furnace installed in my floor has two 3 / 4 "PVC condensate drain pipes out. (No, I'm not confused with the 2" intake and exhaust.) I have traced both pipes and they are all along the flight of the basement. I finished my basement and need to redirect these pipes. But I see no reason to maintain two separate tubes. Is anyone aware why the builder would put in two separate drain pipes, side by side? Can be drains to the A / C evaporator? The oven could be replaced. Do you know if the two were installed at the same time? After doing the two things done more efficiently. Linking the two may end up as a danger because of the pressure that can be built. With the two tubes, pressure and thermal energy is divided and things are much safer. You bet. Both condensate lines are not under pressure. A drainage pipe from the coil and the second drain heat exchanger. The work conducted by gravity. No current CVC code prohibits what you want to do. Just remenber to inspect your new single pipe from time to time to ensure that there is no obstacle. Easy. What Giz said. I always use my oven and separate AC drains, but t all at ground level. There is no code in my state obliges me to do, I do it because it gives me twice the chance for successful drainage of my systems. This seems strange. Perhaps a pipe is actually a listening device CommentsThere are no comments.Leave a Comment |
