Gas Barbecues

Gas BarbecuesGas Grills Do not give a different taste charcoal?

I want to buy a barbecue for my garden, and I'm wondering if it might be less hassle to go with a gas

But it feels a bit like cheating, and I worry it wont give that nice smoke barbecue flavor.
What is the difference between gas and coal?

I have owned both types and only daughter, a gas grill is the only way for me to go. That said, many girls are probably unique charcoal and love them. It's really a very personal decision, no "right" and "bad". I think my gas grill should be much cleaner and easier to use, and therefore I use it more than I ever used my fire. I even baked cakes in it! And to get there, I press a button and it's ready in minutes. I do not have to carry the house charcoal and I have no ashes to clean.

But no, you do not really taste the same as you do when you use charcoal, but for me, the compromise is worth it.

it will definitely be different. you lose the smoke. you can always add wood chips in a pan, but it's not really the thing to a pure soul. the gas is however much less hassle. What real demand from real wood. For many of us, that means wood, not charcoal.

it often comes down to a lifestyle choice. Coal and wood more, you need a place to put your charcoal or wood, a place to put the ashes, cleaning much hassle to move. Gas is like having an outdoor oven. It's clean, airy, easy to clean. gas is rapidly approaching the temperature, not wait until the charcoal is ready, without worrying if you do something long and slow - will not need to add fuel.

charcoal is very traditional and old-style. yes, there is a huge difference in taste. If you are camping, use of charcoal. If you at home just make a family BBQ and then go to a gas. its a lot easier.

people are still supportive of the taste charcoaly if you know what I mean ...

At a gas is less complicated than coal, but with the varieties of wood used for charcoal now you can get a greater degree of taste to your food the flavor of the wood.

I like both and yes there is a difference.Gas is a great way to go and you get the true flavor of the meat with a taste for seasoning and charcoal flavor of charcoal.

Basic rule: cook speed, gas use --- cook taste of charcoal use.
