Put them on Craigslist for a bit out of their face value.

A gift card for $ 25 to $ 20, and so on.

Like other answers have said, sell them on ebay / Craigslist for a reasonable amount below the actual value. it is not as good, but it might be the only way.

I think also in California, you can withdraw money for your gift cards if its less than 5 million. im not positive but im pretty sure my cousin SUT works in retail and I remember she once told me how there was a new law that says ..

They take too long if you need money for tonight. Try going to the place and see if you trade cash PPL. Or just make friends to do so. Tell them you give them a gift card from 20 to 15 dollars or something. Its worth a try.
