High Gas Mileage

What is the best hybrid car / high gas mileage for the money? I travel a lot and put 20K to 30K on my car a year and want to put some gas in the bottomless pit that seems to emerge!

Hi Todd.

Well I can answer from my personal experience. I bought the Honda Civic Hybrid 2007 because, like you, I do 30k per year. I do most of those miles driving alone, so I do not need a big car, and that is where the Civic comes into its own.

I'm serious get 45-50 miles per gallon. It is quiet, super reliable and I like the fact that it turns off when you're in a traffic jam or fire. Its integrated motor assist (IMA) says he is still running the gas engine and electric at the moment, it's fun and a little practice to get your gas consumption down.

I bought the extended warranty package which gives me coverage for 7 years and ensures I always replaced my battery for the electric motor. I also purchased the navigation system, which is activated by voice and incredibly useful.

Finally I recommend it, because it is a bit prettier than the Prius, but can still take 5 people comfortably around if you need it.

I know this is a biased point of view, but it's a great car. I've never looked back.

Toyota Prius is the best hybird car on the market just do a little research on the Internet and you find lots of information. they get 50 mpg highway.
