Could I go down and pay in advance the night before I want to stay or do I need a credit card?

You need to pay to book the reservation. You can pay cash in advance.

Me think cash should be enogh. I'm sure some people did not even have a credit card. They could just keep your license or something, if you destroy something in the room.

You can pay cash, but Xerox your license info.

Pay cash, or if you want to make a reservation, ask your friend to use his card ARB and pays cash instaed.
