Infant Gas

My little boy (8 months) has an unbelievable amount of infant gas. I give him Mylicon and gripe water regularly, but sometimes it helps only. Generally, it is not obstructed by the gas and it does not seem to hurt him, but sometimes you can tell that his little belly is really uncomfortable. I give him cereal for breakfast, house mashed fruit for lunch and dinner is usually a pot meals like Turkey and spinach or chicken noodle meals. Otherwise, it makes drinks hypoallergenic and plenty of water during the day, and I use Avent bottles. Any suggestions, or is this just normal?

I wouldnt worry about those occasional periods of gas. It could be some fruit that you give, is there a link to some fruit puree and the days when he suffers? When he was uncomfortable trying to put on the back and pulling his knees to his stomach and back several times, then stand him, make 3 or four times. This can sometimes release the gas. Or a hot bath also helps. While it is generally in good health if it does not happen too often and its fine, just like you and I sometimes feel a bit inflated. Keep a diary of the food he has and see if there is an obvious culprit.

ok this has nothing to do with your son gas but I just want I think u no answer ur U ***** how dare my friends question like u did! she came on this site looking for people to help and give good advice on what she can do but enjoy your stay at the same time and instead of helping turn around and treat it as insult like a joke UR not better i hope ur happy now it is a bit more torn then what she would lie to him prentice first next time somone u answer the question to think about what ur saying and it mites have effects on that person, because you know your business at this stuff! sister's son as he is 8 months and u are hypo-allergenic formula feed, it is normal for him to have wind, but it is in terrible pain to consider taking him to the doctor!

The AVENT did not work for my son, has the worst gas. Dr. Browns Bottles worked perfectly, cut off gas to 90%! If you can not find them in your area, I know you can order them online. Good luck!

applejuice try. I gave my little boy applejuice when he had gas and it worked great. he [however you define diarrhea]
few days later. but the gas didn't come back for a moment.
