Trip Rewards Credit Card

Trip Rewards Credit CardWhich credit card rewards program is best for travel?

I want to take my kids to Disney in 18 months. I do not have a credit card and am trying to find one to see if we can save $ $ $ for the trip.

Well there are cards that you pay up 1.5% on all your expenses in general. There are also cards that will pay a higher percentage of awards to certain categories of expenses for travel (car rental, airfare, etc.). For example, the Chase BP Rewards Card pays 2% return on airline tickets, hotels, car rentals, and restaurants. Other cards provide up to 3% back for your spending in restaurants and in certain other categories, such as upgrades (eg Citi Professional). Even more cards to pay up to 6% back on gas, groceries and pharmacy purchases (eg Driver's Edge). I found all these cards on the website rewards calculator here: http://www.creditcardtuneup.com/.

In general, maximize your rewards (cash back, etc.) you'll probably want to pump all of your expenses by normal credit card (s) who pay the highest awards in categories that you usually spend the most. Then just pay your balance every month and enjoy the cash back or other rewards.

To find the credit card (or combination of cards) that you pay the most for your normal spending profile, you can use this calculator rewards:

You simply plug in how much you normally spend in each of the different categories each month and it calculates how much you earn from various rewards cards per year.

The advantages of credit cards with different trip issuer. Some credit cards are exclusive to travel some airlines such as Delta, Northwest or Jet Blue offer a range of other airlines to choose from. The rewards of some cards are limited to travel free airmiles that while some offer many advantages as mentioned above. Thus, it is always advisable to look and compare the different offers available from good suppliers of credit card and simply one that provides maximum benefits and services with minimum cost.

Another issue that crops with a credit card Travel reward is the bonus you get when you sign up for the credit card company or make your first purchase with the credit card. Many companies offer bonus airmiles when you get the credit card or when you make a first purchase. These bonus points give you a head start in the redemption of benefits and get a free trip. Travel Reward points accumulate as you travel more than using your credit card travel reward. Some credit card companies give you one point for every dollar you spend, the better reward you when you are traveling with their partner.
