Are the outset have a visa card reward from Universal Savings and received the "free" laptop? I was just wondering if anyone has signed to this effect, and if you how it worked. Any catch?
It's a tempting offer that I cautious approach. Check this out: they want you to have a balance of thousands of dollars on her card of 18 (!) Month
"To establish an account and be eligible for a free laptop, customers must transfer balances of at least $ 5,000 from other credit cards and maintain a balance of at least $ 3,500 on their premiums Upfront Visa Platinum for at least 18 months. Those who did not transfer for $ 5,000 can apply for a cash advance up to $ 2,500 to make their initial balance of $ 5,000. "
Even if you forget the fact that these laptops are outdated by at least 2-3 years (OMG, check the specs), you pay them for around $ 300 + in interest alone.
In the meantime, you can get a decent Dell laptop (if you look through the sites deal) for about $ 500
If you're already paying 20% in interest rates and can not get lower rates, do not expect to be approved for this thing.
If you're not, I would take 18 months 0% AMEX and not wasting my time.
there must be little bit of catch on it
