Using Airline MilesPosted on January 29, 2010. Use airline miles? My wife and I have about 85,000 U.S. 35,000 U.S. Air miles. We are considering a cruise in South America and you want to use airline miles to cover airfare for one ticket. For our flight time, it cost 100.000 miles air. So I think to give 15,000 of my miles to my wife so we get a "free" ticket. How much does it cost to airline miles? Think it should work and little to offset the cost of this trip. Looks like you are talking AAdvantage AA! I think you can simply transfer them to his (free), but if you want to transfer them back to you (that you choose not to travel), there will be a charge of $ 100. Your best bet is to look on the U.S. site or call the office of their mileage. They would be able to tell you exactly the place people at random. My wife and I have something similar for our honeymoon. You can transfer 20k miles without charge. We were able to use our miles to upgrade both legs and back to business class. If you do not get AA credit card lines for you and your wife and each of you can get over 20k miles. why not ask the American Airlines? CommentsThere are no comments.Leave a Comment |
