Valero Gas Prices

Posted on March 18, 2010.
Valero Gas PricesDid you know that if Americans boycotted Exxon Mobil and gas, the price would drop significantly.?

Exxon Mobile (same company now) are the gas producers in leading the nation if we all stuck together and bought gas at Valero, or any other retailer smaller, they would no choice but to lower prices. Think about it. Are you with me on this one?

This rumor spread whenever rising fuel prices peak. It was a spam fax in the 1970s and 1980s.

Gasoline is a standard product. It does not matter who is selling it, or to whom they sell, the price will be the same.

If a station branded Exxon Mobil is boycotted, the fuel will be wholesaled to someone else. The only person who will be affected is the operator of the station, not Exxon Mobil.

In addition, Exxon Mobil has no significant presence in parts of the country so that even a widespread boycott would have limited impact. Valero will sell fuel under that name here in SW MO, the most common brand is here Conoco, a major supplier with a few other options here.

Americans would do better to reduce dependence on foreign oil by dumping their inefficient SUV and simply conserve our precious resources. The only way to defeat this is through the market and prices today are doing just that.

Only a tiny percentage of people who possess Tahoe, excursions or other animals do need a vehicle of this size. The vast majority of them have only one occupant, the driver. It wastes beyond imagination. If you want this kind of excess, go ahead, but do not complain about how much cost you the privilege.

Display statments that this issue "that people know one thing: you do not understand the economy, even the most basic or business.

No, it does not happen. Americans rely on gas, and they lack the courage to respond to a boycott of this magnitude.

possible if you could get people to boycott then yes it would work, because the oil they have in stock and would stay there would replinish supply and prices would drop significantly. it makes sense. think, in the winter strawberries are expensive because there is not much, but in summer, when their most abundant, and lower prices.

Totally impossible ... How many small corner gas stations buy their gas from Exxon and Mobil? Hell of a lot in my opinion. And it would be too much work to find all STATIONS little gas and where they get their gas.

For example, it'S a gas station in Findlay, Ohio, called SITE. I saw in the past one SPEEDWAY TRUCK SUPERAMERICA / fulfill their PUMPS.

Yes you are right, but it will not be convenient for them

well gd luck every1

The problem is that you'll never be enough people to boycott them. Wish it was possible.

Boycott Exxon Mobil and will not work. It is easy to blame them because they are the largest company. If everyone drives just slower cars more fuel efficient, keeping tires properly inflated, then the global demand for gas will drop and prices will fall, too.

I agree with you. Let's do it.

Anonymous has it right. I followed his link:

The only practical way to reduce gasoline prices is the easy way to buy less gasoline, not through a simple and painless by just shifting where we buy it. The disadvantage of driving less is a constraint too many people are apparently not willing to endure, however.

Valero is probably the gas pipelines from an Exxon.

This is not true. Gas boycotts are explained in Snopes.

even if you get enough people to boycott, the firm has nothing to do because they know that ultimately you need gas, and who else are you going to buy it? Here in California we went to a grocery store.
